SWPL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: FC United Kingdoms Carter Magee

LA MIRADA, CA (NOV. 23, 2022) – FC United Kingdom defender Carter Magee has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Born in Belfast, Ireland, Magee won 100-percent of his defensive aerial challenges and had six tackles in a 6-0 victory over Real Sociedad Royals in a SoCal Premier 2022/23 Season match on Sunday, Nov. 20. Magee has marshalled the defense this season for FCUK (5-1-2 overall), which maintains a hold on second place in the Men's First Division table.

Magee played and graduated from Cal State East Bay (NCAA) in Hayward, CA, and served as a captain for the Pioneers during his senior season. He is among the SWPL's leaders in tackles (52) and headers won (33) this season.

The SWPL Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
