SWPL Announces Men's Under-23 Season in Pacific

OAKLAND, CA (March 27, 2023) Southwest Premier League today announced an expansion of one of its most popular programs to Northern California with the activation of Pacific Premier's Men's Under-23 Division.

Several club have been sent agreements to play a Summer Season beginning in May, with more clubs signing on daily. Pacific Premier will feature as many as 10 clubs.

“Opening a Men's Under-23 Division in Pacific Premier is a progressive step in the Southwest Region and another real opportunities for players and clubs,” SWPL President Matt Morse said. “Pacific Premier has proven to be a diverse ecosystem of talent and clubs, and our goal is for the SWPL's opportunities to reflect that diversity. We are encouraged by the growth and for the season ahead.”

Pacific Premier launched in 2020 and has nearly completed its 2023 Spring Season with 10 clubs each playing 18-match schedules. 

Southwest Premier League, with regional divisions in Northern and Southern California, launched in 1976 as Coast Soccer League before rebranding as SoCal Premier League in 2008 and expanding into the SWPL in 2020.

The Pacific Premier Men's Under-23 Division schedule will be released in late April. More SWPL regional Men's Under-23 divisions will be announced soon.
