Abronzino Cup Final Set as Sporting Santa Clara Hosts JASA RWC U23a

OAKLAND, CA (May 4, 2023) - There's a Cup on the line for the first time in the Pacific Region.

Sporting Santa Clara hosts JASA RWC Under-23s in the Umberto Abronzino Cup Final at Reed & Grant Sports Park on Saturday, May 6 at 5 p.m.

Sporting Santa Clara, the tournament's No. 2 seed, had a strong first season in the Pacific Premier League after a slow start and finished with a 11-2-5 overall record, including two wins over JASA RWC Under-23s.

JASA's reserve side enters the final on the back of a narrow 1-0 win over top-seeded Bay Area United.

While JASA's top team (13-2-3) won the Pacific Premier League this past season by a three-point gap over Bay Area United, JASA's reserve team finished second from bottom with a 3-3-12 mark.

Sporting Santa Clara outscored JASA RWC Under-23s 8-1 in two meeting during the 2022-'23 season.
