SoCal Premier D1 Recap: Southwest SC Draws La Familia FC

TEMECULA, CA (April 22, 2024) - Southwest SC nearly pulled off a bit of a shocker.

Maxwell Lashley and Luis Ayala scored gave Southwest SC a lead but it wasn't enough in a 2-2 draw with division champions La Familia FC in a SoCal Premier League match on Saturday, April 20 at Patrica H. Birdsall Sports Park.

Jose Pina scored both goals for La Familia FC (16-1-2 overall), which wrapped up the Inland Empire Division title last week. The club plays AMSG 2 in the semifinals of the Raul Briones Cup this weekend.

On Sunday, Francisco Quintanilla scored twice - 30 minutes apart - as Desert FC Reserves beat Union Amaya 3-2 at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex in Fontana.
